Personal Statement: 

Hello, I'm Nicole S. Urdang and I've been a psychotherapist in private practice for more than 20 years. That experience, coupled with earlier work in hospitals and clinics, means I have helped thousands of people, from young children to ninety year olds, deal with just about every problem you can imagine. At this point, I feel comfortable talking with anyone about anything!

My orientation is cognitive-behavioral, but my practice is truly holistic. Holistic means that I not only consider your thoughts and feelings, but also your lifestyle and habits. I have studied nutrition for over 30 years, have a doctorate in homeopathic medicine, and have helped clients use herbs and Bach Flower Essences. Of course, not everyone wants to take advantage of these methods, but they are available and can be a useful adjunct to therapy.

I have spent my adult life learning everything I could to be as helpful as possible to all who seek my counsel. But, as you know, no amount of studying can take the place of genuine caring and connection. As your therapist, I devote myself to listening and providing honest feedback and unwavering support to enable you to tackle life issues and become more self-accepting.

In this day and age, where privacy is often a very real concern, I offer a totally confidential setting. No information ever goes on the Internet.

The best way for you to decide if I'm the right one to help you now is to call, speak with me for a few minutes, and ask any questions you might have. Then, see how you feel. Even if you?re upset, you will have a gut feeling about whether we could work well together. Trust that inner knowledge.
