Personal
Statement: I
offer my patients a collaborative space where they can reflect upon
and recognize their own desire. Patients have sought my help for a
broad variety of reasons including: grief, separation, depression,
anxiety, isolation, parenting, learning disabilities, divorce,
trauma history, professional relocation, school transfer, career
change, and cross cultural transition. I offer support in generating
creative solutions tailored to the particularities of patients’
lives through active listening, consulting, counseling, networking,
and advocating. When other services are indicated, I recommend
appropriate professionals. Typically, services are provided in my
office. However, I also provide home and school-based interventions
when necessary.
I offer consultation and
supervision to other professionals in my office, or in school, day
care center, and agency settings.
My work have been influenced by my
dual background, European and American, by the work of Dr. Francoise
Dolto and Dr. Jacques Lacan, and by my training at The Cambridge
Health Alliance.
