Statement: Patricia and Alan offer a free
initial consultation. They work with couples, families, children and
adolescents. They are a married COUPLE WHO COUNSELS COUPLES
experiencing difficulties in their relationship. They use their
personal and professional experience to help couples resolve their
conflicts, respecting each member of the couple. They work toward
accessing the goodness in each and the love they are missing.
Psychotherapy for adolescents includes help with poor school
performance, anger, depression, anxiety and peer relationships. No
lasting change can occur without family participation, and therefore
they also invite the adolescent's family to take part in family
sessions.
As child psychotherapists, Patricia and Alan have a child play
therapy area. Child play-therapy helps children communicate their
troubles through play including puppets, art, sand tray and play
acting. Through their play, they are able to teach children new
behaviors, that they generalize to their family and school
life.
When working with individuals, Patricia and Alan specialize in
relationship problems, depression, anxiety, and difficulties
resulting from past trauma. Patricia and Alan are Level II trained
in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for adults
and children, a specific therapeutic intervention, used primarily
with individuals who have suffered traumas.

Payments/Conditions: Neither Alan or Patricia accept
insurance directly. Many of our clients have PPO or POS insurance
and they submit the bill we give you and are reimbursed for a
portion of the cost. Please contact your insurance carrier for
details. A normal session last between 50 and 60 minutes and our
costs are as follows: Patricia Pasternak $95.00 per session Alan
Pasternak $120.00 per session Alan and Patricia together $150.00 per
session
