Statement: My
goal as a therapist is to create a warm, supportive environment in
which my clients can begin to understand their feelings while
discovering what barriers may exist that limit their full potential.
I take an eclectic approach to client wellness and honor the
client's work life, family traditions and sexual orientation - as
well as cultural & spiritual beliefs. Many of my clients are
working through challenging life issues, such as: relationship
problems, sexual compulsions & body image issues. Others need
guidance in areas related to sexuality, substance abuse or a wounded
self-esteem. I work with both individuals & couples.
I understand that busy lifestyles,
long commutes & other concerns often prevent people from meeting
face to face for counseling on a regular basis. With this in mind, I
try to remain flexible when scheduling appointments. After meeting
in person over time, telephone consultations may be available
depending on your situation.
In addition to counseling, I am the
author of the successful book: "Confusing Love with
Obsession" and am a contributor to American Health &
Fitness & Cosmo magazines. Lastly, I have extensive experience working
with people challenged by various health concerns including cancer
& HIV Disease
