Personal
Statement: I have
over 25 years of clinical experience in providing results-oriented
psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. My approach to
treatment is problem focused and consists of both short as well as
longer term individual, couple, and family therapy.
I see psychotherapy as a process
that focuses on each individual's unique strengths and responsibilities
that are brought to the relationship. Empowering people in this way
fosters a sense of well-being that comes from connection, the
motivation to take action in their relationships, improved self
esteem, and a desire for more connection. My approach is a positive,
health driven view of people and their ability to change, often in a
relatively short period of time.
In addition to providing therapy,
for the past 10 years I have been a clinical supervisor at the
Family Institute of Northwestern University, training graduate
students and post graduates in couple and family therapy.
