With more than thirty years of
experience listening to intimate details of people’s lives and
relationships; he has amassed a wide base of understanding to put
your personal situation into its proper perspective.
If you want a listener, he is an
active listener—listening, really listening to the nuances and
complexities of your situation. Clients say that he “gets it” in
a way that most people don’t. Not only does he understand you, but
he demonstrates his understanding before giving you feedback.
If you want feedback rather than
silence, Dr. Gunzburg is not an “uh-huh” therapist. Although
there might be times when he could actually say that, most of the
time he is actively encouraging, questioning, prodding, coaching,
and assisting you to be the best you can be. He helps you find and
develop your potential because he believes that you have more
knowledge and strength than you might think you have.
For couples, he helps you to
communicate with each other. Some therapists encourage you to become
really skilled in communicating with the therapist, but then you
miss improving communication with your spouse. Dr. Gunzburg helps
you to enhance your verbal intimacy to a level that most couples
never experience on their own.
Dr. Gunzburg is pro-family and
pro-integrity. He sides with your honesty and highest principles
and, when possible, he works to keep families together.
If you want help with particular
symptoms such as anxiety, depression, phobias, stress, addictions,
etc., he has skills in a variety of mental exercises, including
hypnosis, to alleviate your symptoms and help you change your
behavior.
If you want even more than talk and
exercise, and if it is appropriate for you, and only if you want him
to do it, he administers NADA-protocol acupuncture to alleviate
symptoms and help with addictions and habit control. Dr. Gunzburg is
state-certified to do this acupuncture and only uses brand-new,
disposable needles.
